Do you know Interior

Take a look at this light-filled Santa Barbara-style home in University Park

This custom-built home in University Park has a California feel with natural light, clean lines, natural tones and a thoughtful layout inside and out. Listing agent Shannon Morse of Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate said the home was designed as a secondary residence and meant to offer a sense of privacy and ease. Morse said the home, built in 2014, has a design that harkens back to the original cottages built in the area when it was first developed.

“It honors the neighborhood while providing the living space for the way people live today,” Morse said.

Built by SHM Architects, the home has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and one half-bathroom in its 4,040 square feet. The entrance of the home is full of natural light, with wood beams that draw the eye to the ceiling and down the entry hallway.

The home’s formal living room and formal dining room both have large windows that show the landscaping on the property. The kitchen is open to a breakfast area and has plenty of countertop and cabinet space. Large windows and a set of French doors on one side of the kitchen area lead to the back patio. The great room has vaulted ceilings adorned with wood beams, and an eye-catching fireplace sits on a wall flanked by windows. Three sets of French doors on the opposite side of the room offer access to the patio.

The home has a laundry room with generous cabinets, a sink and shelves for storage. The primary suite has generous natural light and a bathroom with heated floors, dual sinks and a separate shower and bathtub.

A second level can be added onto the home using plans designed by the original architect. The home at 4045 Glenwick Lane is on the market for $3,325,000.
