Theory Design Creating Interiors in Isola Bella at Talis Park

While many would define coastal design as beach-inspired furnishings, shades of blue and green, and accents that draw in expansive water views, Theory Design’s Ruta Menaghlazi, Andrea Folcik and Emily Mastropietro are reimagining this popular Florida concept with variations of modernity. This vision is coming to fruition in Seagate Development Group’s Isola Bella enclave at Talis Park – the site of many upcoming two-story residences. The best part? There is still an opportunity to purchase a waterfront homesite in the heart of this scenic golf community.

In essence, the leading interior design firm – along with Seagate, architect R.G. Designs and other key partners – are combining the luxury of Talis Park with the vertically streamlined Isola Bella to evoke calmness and comfort. It all starts with maximizing the shape of the homesite and capitalizing on minimalism and unobstructed views. This will be achieved with a neutral exterior color palette and simple details as well as an interior that will direct everyone’s attention to the main and outdoor living spaces – opened by 12-foot ceilings and wide windows. That holistic sense of design and an open-concept layout will be woven throughout the great room, kitchen and dining area. Each space is surrounded by a glass-enclosed walk-in wine room and leads to the outdoor living area with a full kitchen and dining area, custom pool and spa, and firepit. These inviting entertainment areas quite literally reflect on the water that is just beyond the covered lanai. The second story will offer a grand finale for these vertically focused spaces with retreat inspiration and versatility – a sundeck off a master suite, a master bath, flex space and more.

Each floor plan will apply customizations that accentuate the sentiment of the neighborhood design. The furnished Monterey II model – with over 4,500 square feet of living space – will include four bedrooms, four-and-three-half baths, and a three-car garage. With dark, masculine-like tones, it will present a coastal, modern concept starting with charcoal tile cladding, coach lighting, a concrete bench and a steppingstone-style walkway in the gate-enclosed entry courtyard. The great room will debut a molding design on the media wall for linear impact and to call people to the pinnacle of this gathering place that brings the breathtaking outdoor view directly inside the house. The VIP bath is accented with vertical plank tile walls for a spa-like experience, while the master bath with stone tile flooring and a ledge wall behind the soaking tub blurs the lines between indoor and outdoor concepts and creates a most peaceful sanctuary.

The furnished Revana model – with over 5,500 square feet of living space – will include four bedrooms, four-and-three-half baths, and a two-car garage. The entryway – with tiled side walls and up-lighting – instantly welcomes you into the home. With a modern, casual spin on the Monterey II, it will bring in walnut flooring and shades of beige, taupe and brown in every living space – contributing to a sense of warmth throughout the home. The grand foyer and great room will feature a molding design with textured wallcovering inserts and lighting – balancing modern with transitional details and helping people recall how welcomed they felt by the home from the exterior. Spaces with shades of gray and black will be contrasted with slender wall fixtures for a soft and airy atmosphere. This will perfectly complement the powder, VIP and master baths as well as the flex room – making for privacy without feeling secluded.

The furnished Sonoma model – with over 4,000 square feet of living space – will include four bedrooms, four-and-two-baths, and a three-car garage. From the entry courtyard to the outdoor living area, a California coastal modern concept will be celebrated by cool grays and delicate light fixtures to join casual and soft sentiments. Oak flooring will offer a bright and airy spin on the Revana. The white oak wood slat wall detail in the great room will draw the eyes to a tray ceiling for a cozy yet airy form of relaxation. The kitchen and dining area will debut reverse soffits, black cabinetry against white cabinet backs, and transoms for natural light. These warm and cool contrasts give people an equal balance between the privacy of a home and a connection to the beauty that surrounds it.

The furnished Olema model – with over 4,400 square feet of living space – will include four bedrooms, four-and-two-half baths, and a two-car garage. It will join the dark tones and masculine finishes of the Monterey II with the light woods in the Revana and Sonoma, such as with a Cyprus wood tongue-in-groove ceiling in the outdoor living area as well as ebony cabinetry and quartz countertops in the mudroom, pantry and laundry room. This puts urban-like features in a tropical setting – giving people the best of the north and south as well as giving them the opportunity to remember the past, while enjoying the present. The Olema will take this design to the next level with a thin-lined wood slat detail at the staircase, brown cabinetry and marble countertops in the master and powder baths, walnut and ebony cabinets in the kitchen, wet bar and dining area, and ceiling beams in the flex room – a midcentury modern concept that takes in new without discarding the old.
